#15EP :: Atlanta's Hardworking OG Maco Drops New Release

By Senay Kenfe

Atlanta continues to solidify its position within hip-hop as the Third Coast with artists from the turf holding considerable chart positions throughout 2014 alone. Local indie label Quality Control Music – home of favorite sons Migos as well as Skippa Da Flippa and Rich the Kid – seems to consistently show that they have their finger on the pulse new Atlanta’s young generation. They wisely signed the rising star OG Maco having recognized the potential of the brash artist beyond his hit “Bitch U Guessed It.” The young buzzmaker spent the last year hard at work touring and building up his profile throughout the blogosphere with the release of highly regarded mixtapes Live Life 2 & Breathe.

So it is only fitting fresh off of the heels of Drake’s surprise release, that the Atlanta powerhouse would, without warning, push out Maco’s 15 EP, eleven brand new tracks all laid out in house at the OGC studios. The drop features production from the core of Atlanta’s hit producers, with the likes of TM 88, Sledgren, Brandon Thomas, and the ubiquitous Metro Boomin – with heavy features by Johnny Cinco, Skippa Da Flippa, and label mates Migos.
